Do the La Conga - Stereo - Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney - Strike Up The Band Posted by: boinx1234
Video duration: 382 seconds Another number that was recorded in stereo, but mixed down to mono for the film's release. Some of these stereo tracks were saved and transferred to 1/4" tape in the 1950s, when Louis B. Mayer ordered all the original elements destroyed. I've replaced the mono soundtrack with the stereo version of this Roger Edens song. Note that from :10 to 3:01 is one continuous take - whew! . |

Rap Tap On Wood - Stereo - Born To Dance - Eleanor Powell - Cole Porter Posted by: boinx1234
Video duration: 280 seconds Here's the stereo track for this Cole Porter song. I would guess that the deleted section was filmed, since taps are always post-dubbed and wouldn't be in the mix had it not been filmed. Una Merkel introduces Eleanor, who is assisted by The Foursome: Del Porter, L. Marshall Smith, Ray Johnson, and Dwight Snyder. Marjorie Lane sings for Eleanor. . |

A Star Is Born - 2010 Blu-ray vs. 2000 DVD audio synch comparison Posted by: boinx1234
Video duration: 68 seconds Congrats to Warner Bros. for some great audio editing to restore synch to this scene. The first clip is from the original transfer, the second from the new restoration, and the last runs both audio tracks together to show the difference. (Luckily, the music in the background stops just before the dialogue begins to allow it to be edited.) Well done! |

Damn Yankees - Fran Allison - Near To You - A Man Doesn't Know - Phil Silvers Posted by: boinx1234
Video duration: 659 seconds Fran Allison fans rarely see her work outside of "Kukla, Fran and Ollie" so I thought I'd put up clips of her performance in this 1967 television production.
